Agricultural and Crop Science BSc (Hons) - Clearing

Current environmental challenges mean that crop science is a vital subject for now, and our future. There is a growing demand for major food crops and the production of biofuels. You'll develop your understanding of how crops grow and the management of crops within a commercial setting. We'll teach you about sustainable agriculture, plant physiology, crop science and genetics. Teaching is based at Sutton Bonington Campus which has the 450-hectare University Farm and Dairy Centre. We have glasshouses equipped with the latest 3D imaging equipment. Our controlled environment growth rooms can control conditions such as temperature, light and humidity. You'll develop your scientific knowledge and use our labs and fields to apply this in practice. Field trips to local farms help to put your learning into context through real-life examples. We have an international research reputation in plant and crop science. This means you'll be taught by experienced scientists working on the latest research. We'll explain the latest thinking through lectures, practicals and field trips.
